Lifecycle for Office 365
Lifecycle Management of objects & content within Office 365 Sites, Office 365 Groups and Microsoft Teams.
Lifecycle
Think about the end-to-end state of objects and content in Office 365. From the moment something is created to the time it is disposed of, objects and content of any type within Office 365 should have their lifecycle controlled and managed.
Effective lifecycle management ensures that everything your organisation uses within Office 365 is under control. With control comes assurance. You know what is there and why it is there. Vital to ensure that standards and compliance are being adhered to. Knowledge is power, but knowledge of your object and content lifecycle is real power. The power to be certain and the power to be compliant.
Understanding your lifecycle does not have to be complex, in fact simplicity is often the key to success. Understand why something is created, manage it once it is created and dispose of it when it is no longer needed.
The alatrio pillars of lifecycle are simple: create, manage, dispose.
Create
Everything in Office 365 is created. Once created you need to ensure the object or content begins a lifecycle so that control is maintained.
Manage
Managing the lifecycle of objects and content in Office 365 can be a challenge. So many methods, so little time.
Dispose
Once an object or content no longer has purpose it should be disposed of. Don’t forget, disposal does not always mean deletion.
